Masoomeen Welfare Trust is a non-governmental organization founded in 2002, by the late Syed Shabbir Haider. It was his dream and vision to help the community that brought MWT into being. The trust started with a single initiative: to help the needy of Awaami colony by starting a tuition center in 2004. In 2010, the organization established the Ali Model English School (AMES). Having only one room, two teachers and 50 students at the time of its creation, AMES has now burgeoned into a full-fledged school with more than 450 students and 20 well trained teachers, and a reverse osmosis plant to provide clean water to the community.
